Charles Dunn

Charles (Charlie) Dunn is a native of Brownsville, Texas. He attended Abilene Christian University where he graduated with honors obtaining a Batchelor of Arts degree. After obtaining his law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law, Charlie remained in Lubbock to practice law for 38 years.

During his time in Lubbock, Charlie specialized in personal injury trial law and tried more than 150 jury trials to verdict. He has been board-certified in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization for more than 24 years. He is licensed in all Texas courts. He is also licensed in federal courts in the Northern District of Texas, the Western District of Texas, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has been honored as a Texas Super Lawyer by Texas Monthly Magazine and has written more than 50 continuing education articles in personal injury trial law. He obtained a landmark medical malpractice ruling from the Texas Supreme Court in Felton v. Lovett, in which the court established that chiropractors must disclose to their patients the risk that cervical spine manipulation can cause an injury to the patient, including a stroke.

In 2013, the city council of Lubbock appointed Charlie to be a member of the Lubbock Power and Light Electric Utility Board. Lubbock Power and Light is the municipal electric company for the City of Lubbock that provides electricity to more than 350 thousand citizens.

In 2018, Charlie relocated to San Antonio to work for a large personal injury firm handling major complex litigation including 18-wheeler accidents, wrongful death, and traumatic brain injuries. He was also the managing attorney for eight other senior attorneys in the complex commercial litigation department.
For DJC Law, Charlie handles all complex personal injury matters, including wrongful death, spinal cord injuries, burn cases, industrial accidents, 18-wheeler crashes, and medical malpractice.
